28 September 2017

The Deputy General Manager of the Small and Medium Sized Enterprises Promotion Agency (APME), Mr EWUSI MBONGO Eric officially launched on Tuesday 26th September 2017 at SOMATEL Hotel, a two day seminar to mobilise in synergy all the stakeholders involved in the support of Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs). Participants drawn from Ten Ministries, some Government Agencies and Intermediary Organisations brainstormed on some information indicators and a platform that will help harmonise the sector. The indicators will help provide statistics to Promoters, Project initiators and the Population on the activities of the Government in this sector. They will also help authorities orientate their decisions according to Mr LOBE MPOH Constant, Director of the Department of Observatory and Economic Forecast (DOPE) in the Small and Medium Sized Enterprises Promotion Agency.

At the end of the Seminar, participants resolve to set up a committee that will centralise and communicate information on the multiform support granted by the State to SMEs. The said committee shall consider a number of indicators like; the amount of credit granted for the projects, amount of subvention granted, the number of SMEs accompanied, amount of credit reimbursed and the number of jobs created amongst others.
