17 November 2016

The Small and Medium Sized Enterprises Promotion Agency and the National Social Welfare Fund signed a partnership agreement on Thursday 10 November 2016 at the CNPS headquarters in Yaoundé. The aim of this partnership is to establish the main axes of Collaboration between the parties. An initiative developed by the APME to promote the social protection of the personnel and the families in the accompaniment of the creation and the development of SMEs.
The Director General of the CNPS, Mr. Noël Alain Olivier MEKULU MVONDO AKAME, in his introductory remarks wished that a team be rapidly set up to elaborate the procedural manual in the framework of the implementation of this partnership agreement

The Director General of APME, Jean Marie Louis BADGA, on its part, presented the potential of the target covered by the agreement. He reinstated that Cameroon has more than one hundred thousand (100,000) Small and Medium Enterprises and Registered Industries. But less than 25% of these SMEs meet the social requirements of their company, such as the social protection of employees, one of the conditions required to be eligible for the investment on incentives scheme and the growth of SMEs.
In an environment full of seriousness and determination to explore this niche of growth for both institutions, the ceremony was attended by the collaborators of the Director General of the CNPS and that of the APME.
