Collecting, centralizing and publishing data on SMEs;
investigating to determine the economic contribution of SMEs and to improve the manner of monitoring their progress and operational performance;
providing information on SMEs to policy-makers, researchers, professional organisations and SMEs themselves;
structuring and regularly updating the Cameroon SMEs’ database;
editing technical notes and reports that give a structured vision of the reality of small and medium-sized enterprises in Cameroon;
carrying out, at the request of the parties interested in SMEs, the statistical analysis on information contained in the small and medium-sized enterprises database;
conducting market surveys and formulating strategic counselling for the development of small and medium-sized enterprises;
editing notes on the economic situation for the benefit of small and medium-sized enterprises;
conducting useful surveys on the identification of good practices in the promotion of small and medium-sized enterprises, especially at the international level;
organizing the processes of capitalisation and enriching knowledge and experiences for a better understanding of the universe and environment of small and medium-sized enterprises;
following up and/or controlling small and medium-sized enterprises that receive loans and support from the government for business development.
